Shin Adachi is a professional computer incident responder with professional experience all over the world such as East and Westcoast of the United States, Japan, Europe, Southeast Asia, and South America. He represents NTT-CERT in the Americas, and is a member of ENISA EU’s Cyber Threat Landscape Working Group, FIRST Program Committee, FIRST Incident Response Hall of Fame Selection Committee, and UE 2024 Program Committee. He is a former Chair of FIRST Education Committee, and took other leadership and advisory roles for globally recognized organizations and Public and Private Partnerships. He is an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, California, who owns businesses including his own Incident Response and Cybersecurity consulting business and other stakes.
​He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional ( CISSP ), a Certified Information Security Manager ( CISM ), a Certified Information Systems Auditor ( CISA ), a Certified Project Management Professional ( PMP ), and a Proofpoint Certified AI/ML Specialist.

~More lessons from the CSRB report

Since the Cyber Safety Review Board (of the United States) released the report titled “Review of the Summer 2023 Microsoft Exchange Online Intrusion” on April 2, 2024, it has been reported by many media outlets with some sensation.  However, many of such media reports miss details of the content, a lot of practical lessons various stakeholders including Cloud Service Providers can learn, and who can learn exactly what lessons from this report.  The presenter believes this is an eye opening, one of the best reports from the U.S. government especially for incident responders and decision makers of different organizations.  This presentation will shed light on such likely missed but important lessons we can learn from this report, from incident responder’s points of view, for different stakeholders such as business enterprises, cloud providers, and roles played by a government agency​.
