Women in HPC ( WHPC ) 是一個國際組織，致力於推動高效能計算（HPC）領域的性別多樣性和包容性，為女性提供支持和資源。
WHPC 在全球擁有 24 個分會和附屬機構，吸引了超過 50 所頂尖大學和研究機構的參與。
WHPC 不限於女性，國際諸多分會成員包含認同理念的男性或多元性別。
WHPC 主要在歐洲和美洲發展，亞洲的發展相對較慢。為此，台灣分會於 2023 年 10 月成立，成為泛東亞地區的首個分會，目標是拓寬亞洲女性對 HPC 的認識，吸引和培養更多女性人才。

通過推動 HPC 領域的性別多樣性，我們希望HPC技術不僅應用於科學與工程領域，更能應對社會性別相關的挑戰，包括消除性別偏見和減輕女性在家庭照顧方面的壓力。
​透過與國際組織的連結與合作，我們致力於促進一個更加包容和多樣化的 HPC 社群，推動整個社會的性別平等。

Founded on October 13, 2023, the Women in HPC ( WHPC ) Taiwan Chapter is the first in East and Southeast Asia, aligning with the global WHPC mission to promote gender diversity in HPC. Addressing the challenges Asian women face in science and technology, the Taiwan chapter emphasizes raising awareness, enhancing inclusivity, and empowering women in HPC.

Our mission focuses on broadening women's understanding of HPC's opportunities, with the goal of attracting and nurturing female talent. Our vision involves using HPC to address gender-specific challenges, including gender bias and societal pressures on family care. We aim to empower women with HPC knowledge and tools, believing in technology's potential to overcome obstacles to women's development and societal participation.
